In 1883, graduates of Medway High School set us upon this historic course by forming the Alumni Association that we know today. They formed this Association “In order to keep alive old friendships and enjoy a social gathering annually.” In 1909, it was agreed the 25-year class would organize and host the Annual Alumni Banquet, at which time the 50-year class is honored and the graduating class is welcomed into the Association. This tradition is one of the oldest among high school alumni associations in the United States.

 

It is an honor for us to work with the host Class of 2000 in organizing this year’s banquet. This wonderful event brings us together to reminisce, celebrate our common bond as MHS Alumni, and remember the past while looking forward to the future. This year, we honor the 50th anniversary of the Class of 1975 and welcome the graduating Class of 2025—the new members of our Association.

Nearly 250 attended last year’s banquet. Joseph H. Potenza, Sr (Class of 1939) and Joseph P. Hanlon (Class of 1955) were inducted into the MHS Hall of Excellence. The Association also awarded $1000 scholarships to six graduating seniors: Elizabeth Kenney-Holy Cross, Ellie Mahan-UMass, Brooke Scott-Trinity, Zoe Walker-New Hampshire, Zoe Cioppa-Endicott, Alex Montana-Delaware.
